Traptec, Inc.™ was founded on April 4, 2000 and chartered to develop and market systems that use acoustical and ultrasonic means to sense and evaluate activity, pertinent to law enforcement, security, and defense industries. These systems are specifically tailored to identify the acoustical and ultrasonic signatures of spray cans, firearm discharge, tire leaks, intrusion sounds, and voice-initiated alarms.

Once identified, the system promptly reports event details to appropriate personnel through dynamic links to the Internet, global positioning systems, pagers, cell phones, or other surveillance and communication equipment. The system may then interface with other security devices to arrest or impede the activity at issue. For example, if a firearm is discharged within a building, event details would be immediately communicated through a wireless relay to security personnel, while other surveillance equipment would be trained to record the event.

At the option of authorized personnel, the system would be then prompted to secure all sensitive areas or means of escape. In the event of an unauthorized cockpit entry, other systems could be configured to transfer immediate and unilateral control to a remote facility or operator. Thus, Traptec's technology not only affords a flexible and fully integrated security system, but also provides for real-time wireless communication to law enforcement or security personnel. However, the Company does not limit its efforts to security concerns. It continues to adapt its technology to other markets and contingencies.

The Company has successfully engineered and tested the core technologies employed by its detection systems and has also secured several domestic and international patents. While a number of prototypes have been produced, the Company is in the process of developing strategic alliances with commercial and military enterprises to manufacture, market, and research innovative applications of its detection systems. In fact, the Company has recently partnered with the Naval Underwater Research Lab to complete the development of its Shotsfired™ product. The partnership affords the federal government with a primary claim to all military applications of the product, while Traptec retains exclusive title to all commercial aspects of the Shotsfired system.
